Aiseesoft DVD Converter Suite Ultimate is a multifunctional program that can create, rip and copy DVDs, but also convert video files or transfer data from an iPod/iPhone/iPad to a computer.
This converting suite has a nice interface and a well-organized menu. It includes five main applications: Aiseesoft DVD Ripper Platinum, Aiseesoft Total Video Converter Platinum, Aiseesoft iPad/iPhone/iPod Transfer Platinum, Aiseesoft DVD Creator and Aiseesoft DVD Copy. After you choose one of the above mentioned tools, the program pops up the limitations that the unregistered version has.
The DVD ripper allows you to copy and edit a movie from DVD. All you have to do is load your file, edit it according to your desires, select the output format and convert the file. The app allows you to cut a section of the movie, to adjust some effects, to add a watermark and even to enable a 3D effect. It supports all the popular formats, such as MP4, AVI, MP3, WMV, WMA, FLV, MKV, 3GP, DivX, WAV and many others. This tool has a merging function that gives you the possibility to combine different chapters or video files into a single file.
The second application allows you to convert a video/audio file into any format that you want. Another nice thing is that all the formats are organized by their type, which makes it easier to find the desired one. The third main application gives you the ability to export your iPod/iPad/iPhone files to your computer, to an iTunes library or to another device. After you connect your device to the computer, the tool automatically recognizes it. You can copy all your data that the device contains. There is an option that allows you to make an iPhone ringtone. This is very useful for iPhone users, because that device doesn’t support songs as ringtones. If you use the fourth application, you can create DVDs. Once you've selected the file, you can add a background sound and image and you can also change the audio track of the movie. By using the Edit section, you can add an effect to the file; you can crop it and also add a watermark. The Preferences tab enables you to choose the video format, the aspect ratio, the video resolution or the video bit rate.
By using the last main application of this program, you have an ability to copy DVD files. After you have selected the source and the target, you can check some other options. The app can remove or skip the menu, it can play the titles as a loop. However, I have encountered a problem during the time that I was testing this tool. When I tried to select a movie from my computer as the source file, the app crashed. It warned me that the Aiseesoft DVD Copy process can not be restarted.
In conclusion, I think this converting suite is very useful when you have to work with DVDs. It can do almost whatever you need. Despite the fact that the program crashed when I used the DVD Copy tool, I would recommend this utility to all users who want a good DVD converter.
